Jen’s Links at LBI on Course for Spring

Jen’s Links at LBI on Course for Spring 04/20/2024A prominently located, premier miniature golf course in Barnegat Light, Jen’s Links, will open in May but will offer a food concession a month earlier.

The 36-hole course at 501 Broadway will feature three 20-foot waterfalls. It is sited less than two blocks from Barnegat Lighthouse State Park.

The project received borough planning board approval in 2016 for applicant Jennifer Lackland, managing partner of Daveco Industrial, LLC.

“We are currently expecting to start selling pizza to the public on weekends starting Friday, April 19, and then open the courses on May 10,” project manager Robert Hanselmann told The SandPaper this week. “We hope to have many more details and a complete overview of the course and its origination as we get closer to the summer.”

The course designer is Harris Miniature Golf Courses Inc. of Wildwood, builder of 800 courses worldwide. At the planning board meetings in 2016, designer Glenn Lynn said the plan would be “one of the most elaborate designs we’ve done.”

Built into the course will be a fishing village, marina, water features, a cave, a gristmill, landscaping and educational interpretive displays.

“Our guests can expect a unique golfing experience that highlights the history and wonder of LBI,” Hanselmann said. “And the best is yet to come as Jen’s Links will continue to evolve to reflect the ever-shifting sands that make up Long Beach Island and life at the Jersey Shore.”

The project has attracted anticipation on social media.

More information and photos can be found on the website jenslinkslbi.com and the Facebook page, which announced on Feb. 8 that applications are being taken for employees in advance of a grand opening.

“The owner is very excited to share her vision with the LBI residents and plans on making Jen’s Links an integral part of the community,” Hanselmann said this week.

“We are planning many events with other local businesses and civic groups and are open to work with anyone in promoting the beauty that is life on LBI.” ~ Article Source: The
