LBI is Alive: March Events on Long Beach Island
Although the season has not officially began here on Long Beach Island, there is still an abundance of activities to take part in! LBI is a wonderful place to call home year round because there is always something occurring for all ages! Thought LBI was asleep during the winter? No way! 10th Annual Prom Dress Drive
Date: Feb 12- April 12
Location: Ocean County Library
The Ocean County Library will be accepting donations of new, clean and gently used teen prom dresses, party dresses, evening gowns and tuxedos. The drive will provide formal attire to middle and high school students free of charge, for their school’s formal events. Last year more than 700 prom dresses were distributed during the giveaway! What a great way to make some young students day! The drive runs from February 12th – April 12th and donations can be dropped off at any Ocean County Library Location. –Surf City’s Branch is located at 217 S Central Ave, Surf City, NJ 08008
Drop In Ceramics Class at the LBIF
Dates: Every Saturday 10am-4pm
Location: Long Beach Island Foundation of Arts & Sciences

Come enjoy an open studio for ceramics and Fire Me Up! Those interested in ceramics can drop by at any level and learn the basics or build onto your previous experience. You can paint a ceramic piece of your choosing – there are mugs, bowls, plates, picture frames and more! Saturdays are perfect for a day out with the family, trying something new with a friend and expanding your interest in the arts! Stop in at any time!
7th Annual March Madness Foul Shooting Contest
Date: March 3 9am-12pm
Location: St. Francis Community Center Gym
4700 Long Beach Blvd, Brant Beach
The Foul Shooting Contest is open to grades Kindergarten through High School and adults. Registration is required. You can pick up Registration Forms at the Community Center Front Desk or on-line at stfranciscenterlbi.org. All registration forms need to be returned to Mike Thompson at St. Francis Community Center. Registration will be open on the morning of the event and the cost is $3.00. All participants must be registered in order to participate. Fun activity to get the kids out of the house. Winners will get new outdoor basketballs!
Science Saturdays at the LBIF
Date: Every Saturday 11am-12:30pm

Science Saturdays are perfect for the science geek inside of you. The LBIF partners with local experts to tackle todays’ most pressing scientific, environmental, and sustainability issues that directly affect our shore community and the Barnegat Bay. Science Saturdays are structured to be interactive and informative (and sometimes hands-on) presentations in an informal atmosphere. Fee is $5.00
Make Your Own Stained Glass Window
Date: Monday’s 10am-5pm (Call for Appointment)
Location: Swell Colors Glass Studio & Gallery

Go and make your own stained glass window and take it home with you all in one day! You will learn safety, design, cutting, grinding, foiling, burnishing, soldering, patina, and polishing. Pieces come out beautiful!
2nd Annual Flower & Arts Show

Job Fair
