The Brew Trail May Be Just The Way To Keep The Cold Away

Like many Jersey Shore areas in the winter, Long Beach Island is much quieter than it is during the warmer weather. During the summer, the LBI population ranges from 150,000-200,000 but once the summer ends and Long Beach Island is left with year-rounders and holiday vacationers, the population drops to 8,000-10,000.

Since there are still thousands of locals around daily, many businesses stay open. Locals and winter visitors still get to indulge in their favorite Long Beach Island foods. Several restaurants like A Little Bite of Italy and Uncle Will’s remain open daily all year long. Fantasy Island Amusement Park closes for the winter, but the arcade part of the park remainds open on weekends. The NJ Maritime Museum also stays open through the winter but just on weekends.

One continuously running event, “The Southern Ocean Surf & Sip Brew Trail” is the perfect way to ward of the shorter days and longer nights on LBI and the surrounding area. Designed for enthusiasts 21 or older, the Brew Trail is a way to “experience the unique Jersey culture, get to meet local experts, try authentic products, and take part in the Long Beach Island Region like never before.”
